Referals for Imaging

Fortunately, most patients we see do not require a scan (MRI, Xray, Ultrasound for example), as we can diagnose the issue from specific clinical tests, and a large proportion of the time, symptoms improve with treatment alone.

There is also lots of really interesting research published that shows that scan results may not always relate to pain. For example, some people have a disc bulge on a scan but have no pain at all… and lots of people may have a rotator cuff tear in their shoulder but are completely symptom free!

However, if your problem does require imaging then we can refer you on for scans, such as Xray, MRI, Ultrasound etc. We have a direct link to The Three Shires Hospital in Northampton and to the best imaging options in Beford too which we can discuss with you. We can easily refer you for private scans if we feel it is appropriate and we get the results very quickly.

We will also happily contact your GP if we think that further medical input may be required.
