Who are your treatments for?

Whatever your age, choice of lifestyle or sporting activity, therapy can help you overcome your pain or injury. Self-referral has been proven to reduce the amount of time people are off sick and early intervention can be vital to prevent an acute problem becoming chronic.

Why is The Back and Body Clinic especially able to help me?
We are highly skilled practitioners with advanced postgraduate qualifications and many years of experience. You can therefore be confident of an accurate diagnosis and optimal treatment. We are experts in the treatment of back pain, neck pain and many other common or complex complaints.

We offer a complete package of care and focus on getting to the cause of your problem. Our objective is to get you better as soon as possible so that you can resume your normal activities and get on with your life. Our emphasis will be on ‘hands-on’ treatment and subsequent rehabilitation so you can build on the improvements you make from your treatment with us.

We offer a professional, yet personal and friendly service; everything will always be fully explained to you and we will go the extra mile to help.

We have two locations in Northampton:

Is there free parking?
Yes, we have free parking right outside all of our clinics.
How long will my appointment last?
Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Acupuncture and 1:1 Pilates appointments are approximately 30 minutes. Podiatry new patient appointments are approximately 45 minutes and follow up appointments are approximately 30 minutes. Sports Massage appointments are either approximately 60 or 30 minutes depending on your preference. Insurance appointments vary depending on the company. Please ask if you are unsure when booking.

How and when can I pay?
You pay at the end of your session at reception. Cash, credit and debit cards are accepted. Unfortunately we cannot accept American Express.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing that allows the problem area to be exposed eg: if it’s a problem with the legs bring shorts, if it’s a neck problem wear a vest top.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
Bring anything that may help the therapist with their diagnosis. eg if you’re a runner with a running injury bring your trainers. If you have previous scan or x-ray reports or consultant letters- if possible bring them with you. If you having treatment through an insurer, bring insurance details with authorisation codes, authorisation number and membership number.
Can I request a specific therapist?
Yes, of course you can, and we will do our best to help.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give us at least 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel or amend your appointment booking so that we are able to offer your appointment time to other patients. You will be charged in full for all missed appointments and appointments cancelled without 24 hours’ notice. We are pleased to offer a 50% reduction to all cancellation fees if you rebook your appointment immediately.
What is your privacy notice?

PRIVACY NOTICE

Here at The Back & Body Clinic we take data protection and your privacy seriously and we will only use your personal information to administer your records and account so that we can provide you with the services you have requested from us.

We will not share any of your personal details with any third party.

We will store your Personal Information on our practice management software, exercise software and secured electronic file storage which is all compliant with GDPR.

We take security seriously and take reasonable steps in order to protect your information from loss, misuse or unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

Your records will be stored indefinitely for legitimate business purposes to include: availability of accurate historical clinical records in the event of future treatment episodes, medico-legal evidence, clinical record analysis for clinical improvement and managing the clinic’s and therapist’s performance.

All patients have a right to see a copy of their treatment records. Requests must be made in writing and processed within 40 days (please note a fee may apply).
