This February, We dedicated our training focus to paediatrics, specifically working with young patients aged 8 to 18. As part of this initiative, Lewin wrote an insightful blog post on our website about Sever’s and Osgood-Schlatter disease in children—common conditions affecting growing athletes.

Adolescents in sports are prone to growth-related conditions like Sever’s Disease (heel pain) and Osgood-Schlatter Disease (knee pain) due to stress on growth plates during rapid growth. These overuse injuries cause inflammation and discomfort but improve with rest, ice, stretching, and activity modification. While symptoms often resolve with time, recurrence is common during growth spurts.

Encouraging young athletes to listen to their bodies can prevent long-term issues! 🏃‍♂️💨
