Biomechanical assessments are often used within a session by our therapists and focus on assessing your body in great depth to pinpoint the cause of your problem and highlight how to correct or eradicate it. This includes a thorough examination of the body’s structure, alignment, muscle balance and movement patterns. A biomechanical assessment is the starting point for understanding the cause of your problem, what treatment is needed or whether further investigations are necessary. Unless the cause of your pain or injury is found and dealt with, the problem is likely to persist or become recurrent.
We commonly use specialist iPad software and a large barrage of evidence-based clinical tests to help us see and measure certain aspects of you and your biomechanics. This helps you to see the issues first hand and understand why we do what we do in the Clinic. We can also re-evaluate these issues after the treatment and as you progress through your bespoke exercise program… so you can see the fruits of all your hard work!
