Q: Work experience to date?
A: I worked as a Physiotherapy Assistant in the NHS for nine years, and for the past six I’ve been part of a large MSK department, where I learnt so much about rehabilitation and helping people return to their best. Alongside that, my five years studying Osteopathy gave me the opportunity to work with people experiencing chronic pain and psychosomatic issues, using hands-on techniques and education to ease their symptoms. During my studies, I gained experience in a variety of settings, including sports and women’s health clinics, and even at the Royal Free Hospital treating people living with HIV. Having both physiotherapy and osteopathic experience allows me to combine my hands-on skills with rehabilitation knowledge to help people get back to doing what they love.Q: What do you love about your job?
A: I truly believe our bodies are strong, adaptable, and capable of extraordinary things. Injuries and pain can be challenging, but they don’t have to be the end of the story. With the right support and guidance, people can get back to the things they love — whether that’s playing sport, enjoying time with family, or simply living without pain. I love being part of that journey, helping people regain confidence in their bodies and feel more positive about the future.Q: Clinical Special Interests?
A: I have a particular interest in low back and neck pain with referred symptoms into the legs or arms. These types of problems can be really debilitating and often become the main focus of someone’s day-to-day life. I enjoy learning more about how best to support people experiencing these issues and helping them regain confidence in their movement. I also love working with people recovering from lower limb injuries, both before and after surgery — from hip and knee replacements to ACL reconstructions and ankle sprains. My dissertation actually focused on ankle sprains, which gave me an even deeper appreciation for how effective rehabilitation and manual therapy can be in restoring function.Q: Top pastimes?
A: I’m a regular at the gym and love lifting weights, though I also have a bit of a love–hate relationship with running (I’m working on the “love” part!). I really enjoy hiking and mountaineering too — the highest summit I’ve reached so far is 2,917 m at Mount Olympus.Q: Scariest thing you have done?
A: Scuba diving while I was in Indonesia — and I don’t even know how to swim! I still have no idea how my partner managed to convince me to do it.Q: The most relaxing thing in the world is?
A: A morning coffee at the top of a mountain or by the sea — nothing beats that sense of peace and perspective.Q: What’s your favourite film of all time?
A: The Matrix (definitely not the last one!) and Pulp Fiction — I’m a big fan of Tarantino movies.Q: Favourite Food?
A: Stuffed peppers (Gemista) — rice, minced meat, herbs, onions, and tomato sauce. Definitely the best Greek comfort food! Happy to share the recipe!
