Q: Why did you join the Back and Body Clinic?
A: After twenty years in education, I wanted to apply everything I learned about leading a busy, people-focused organisation to a business that genuinely improves how people feel. The opportunity to help a fast-growing clinic group scale well across its sites was too good to turn down.Q: Do you have any relevant or interesting work experience?
A: I spent a decade developing elite young talent at Northampton Saints Rugby Academy, working alongside England age-group selectors. I once scouted a local teenager and signed him to the Saints, and he went on to play for England. Elite sport teaches you a lot about performance and resilience, which translates surprisingly well into healthcare.Q: What do you love most about your job?
A: The variety and the people. No two days are the same and I work with brilliant people.Q:What are your top pastimes?
A: Rugby, live music, skiing, and motorbikes.Q:What is the funniest or scariest thing you have ever done?
A: Track days on my motorbike. They are terrifying and exhilarating in equal measure.Q:How do you spend your weekends?
A: Rugby whenever I can, family time, and if there is a festival on, my wife and I will be there. Otherwise, you will find me on my bike.Q: What is your proudest achievement?
A: The fact that students and families I worked with during my twenty years in education still stay in touch and remember my name. Alongside that, spending ten years developing young rugby talent at Northampton Saints and helping players reach the international level.Q: What is the most relaxing thing in the world to you?
A: Sharing a glass of wine with my wifeQ: What is your favourite food or typical lunch?
A: I love a curry, and my ideal lunch would be on a beach in the south of France!Q: If you were stranded on a desert island, what one item would you take?
A: Good speakers and my music collection. If I am stuck somewhere, I want a soundtrack.Q: Who would you want to be stranded in a lift with?
A:Kevin Schwantz, a motorbike legend and, I suspect, very good company with plenty of stories.Q: What is your favourite film of all time?
A: Uncle Buck. Anything with John Candy, what a legend!Q: Who would be your ideal dinner party guests?
A: A proper mix: Kevin Schwantz, Joey Dunlop, and Valentino Rossi for the racing stories; a rugby great like Martin Johnson; Dom Malone to talk about the game; and someone genuinely funny to keep it all flowing.
