Q: What made choose Physio as a career?
Growing up I always knew I wanted to be in a caring profession and combining this with my passion for exercise and the human body made physiotherapy
a perfect fit! I love the challenge of diagnosis and treatment that presents everyday in clinic. Being able to take people on the journey from suffering with pain to smashing their goals in life gives me huge satisfaction and pride.
Q: University- year qualified?
I qualified from Coventry University in 2016 and have been working in musculoskeletal physiotherapy ever since. I have spent most of my career in the NHS until joining The Back and Body Clinic this year. I've worked in various settings including post operative
, pain management and sporting injury rehab. I've completed post graduate courses in wide ranging topics including acupuncture, running rehab and shoulder diagnosis and treatment.
Q: Favourite rehab exercise?
It has to be a single leg sit to stand - it's harder than it looks and works fantastically for loading through the glutes and legs!
Q: Top pastimes?
I love running and enjoy training for half marathons - although maybe one day I might do a full marathon! I also love baking.. I run to be able to eat more cake haha
Q: Scariest thing you have done?
Jumping out of a plane - although I would happily do it again in a heartbeat!
Q: The most relaxing thing in the world is?
Getting all wrapped up and going for a long walk in the woods
Q: Who would you like to be stranded in a lift with?
It has to be the Queen, I'm obsessed with the TV programme 'The Crown' and would love to spend an hour chatting away with her, I bet she has some great stories.
