Q: University and work experience?
A: BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy – Brunel University – 2009 . MSc Sports Injury Rehabilitation – University of Salford - 2016 I attended Brunel University and qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2009. Whilst studying, and again the year after qualifying, I worked as an intern at Gloucester Rugby. I relocated and worked at the Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Partnership Trust from April 2011 to October 2012. In July 2012 I gained work experience with Bolton Wanderers FC academy. I again relocated, this time to Milton Keynes, and worked in private practice from October 2012 to November 2014. I then moved to Nuffield Health in December 2014 and worked in 2 private hospitals and 3 Fitness and wellbeing gyms. In 2016 I completed a 3 year MSc in Sports Injury Rehabilitation at the University of Salford. In September 2021 I will start my new adventure at The Back & Body Clinic JQ: What do you love about your job?
A: I enjoy problem solving, exercise and helping people get back to what they enjoy doing (which is the cherry on the top!)Q: What's your favourite patient journey and why?
A: It’s always rewarding when a patient rocks up to a follow-up appointment saying they were able to “play with their grandchildren”, play their chosen sport or do something they enjoy for the first time in a while without any symptoms, and without any flare ups afterwards.Q: Clinical special interests?
A: I am weighted towards sports injury rehabilitation, but I like the variety of being a musculoskeletal physiotherapist and all the conditions it covers (an on the fence answer, I know LOL!)Q: Favourite rehab exercise?
A: Love a deadlift, any variation!!Q: Top pastimes
A: Working out in the gym, video games, taking the pooch (and the missus) on new walkies, watching rugby (formally playing) and watching films. Do love a holiday to somewhere new too!!Q: Scariest thing you have done?
A: 3 bungy jumps and a sky dive (I still do not like heights)Q: The most relaxing thing in the world is...?
A: Being by the sea. Listening to the sound of the waves lapping on the shore, the smell of the salty air and the sun on my back.Q: What is your favourite film of all time?
A: Top 3: Leon: The Professional, Christopher Nolan’s Batman Trilogy, anything Pixar
